Anon is on and IP logging is off (at least, I think they are), but comments aren't screened because... I've never really gotten why they would have to be.

You know how it goes by now — comment if you think one of mine should be giving you something. Momoko, Mara, Ever17!Sara, Narumi, Katsuya, & Rupert, though Momoko probably isn't giving presents because that would be tantamount to admitting that she doesn't hate everyone. Katsuya, on the other hand, is probably giving baked goods to everyone he knows.

Also, no one else seems to be doing it this year so I am probably being very uncool, but I have a(n OOC) holiday card + cookies post here.

I'd like to know what your thoughts are on the current situation.

I probably should have posted about this at the beginning of the term, but I (perhaps foolishly) didn't anticipate that it was going to be as much of a problem as it is, so! Better late than never. I'm not sure if anyone actually cares about all this, but all things considered, I thought I had better explain myself, at least, instead of just disappearing. Well, technically I've disappeared already, but you know what I mean.

I am in my last semester of college right now, and in order to be able to graduate, I've got a relatively heavy courseload as well as having a senior thesis to write (which is a lot of work all by itself). So I'm in class all day until about 4:30, and after that I've got a ton of schoolwork to do, so I usually don't manage to even start looking at RP stuff until 10 or 11 PM (EST), and then I only manage to stick around for a few hours before passing out on my keyboard. So yes, I am slow and thread-droppy and around even less than usual, and it will probably get worse before it gets better. Therefore:

- If you want to thread with one of my characters, whether for some specific purpose or just in general, let me know! It helps if you're willing to carry a thread on over several days, but it's not a necessity.
- If I have dropped a thread with you and you want to continue it, also let me know! With everything that's going on, I forget stuff; I'm not trying to shun anyone or anything.
- I really do apologize for my non-existence recently (and, in advance, for the next three months). I would rather be RPing, believe me. I'm sorry if my absence inconveniences or annoys anyone. If at any point I find it impossible to maintain any activity whatsoever in the game, I will drop, but I very much hope it doesn't come to that.

... That being said, my character load is too heavy for the amount of free time I have now, I just can't figure out who should get the ax. Every time I think I've made up my mind, I throw the character in question out somewhere and go "... but wait, I'm still having fun with them! I can't drop them now!" So... yeah, working on that.

This is one of those "not important enough for CFO" things, and I wasn't even going to bother mentioning it on a character journal, but I have been ridiculously slow and distracted when threading and I feel kind of bad, so I figure I might as well at least apologize for explain that. So basically, the end of the term is coming up and I have lots of stuff to get done, so I'm on a not-hiatus for... about the next month, really, while I have awesome fun adventures in trying to remember how to write papers. I'll still be around somewhat, I'll just probably be multitasking and as a result take even longer than usual to respond to stuff.

And that goes for Momoko, Maria, Ever17!Sara, Shuro, Narumi and Katsuya. Not that anyone other than Katsuya has been out much lately anyway.

What's Okay To Mention Around Him/Her: ... haha I totally forgot to fill this one out before. OOPS. Uh. I can't think of anything that's likely to come up that I really really wouldn't want people to tell him, but use discretion when audiencing/breaking the fourth wall? I mean, if you go "you're a fictional character!" he'll just go "if you say so crazy person," but if you bring up, like... major spoilers or stuff about his childhood or his brother or... something that could get awkward. idk.

Abilities: He can summon a Persona, which is an aspect of his psyche which manifests for the purpose of beating shit up. He can shoot things! He can investigate things! And he can bake delicious cakes.

Notes for the Psychics: ... ahh idk I'm too tired to do this right now. Well, there's the Persona thing, though I'm not sure whether that'd ping for a psychic and if so, how. Uh. He is probably thinking Srs Thoughts! About police-y things or desserts or his brother. Or some combination of the latter two. why won't you love me Tatsuya ;_; I made this cheesecake for youuuuu

Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?: Sure, though obviously I'd like to be asked first if you're doing anything serious.

Job: Camp Police Officer
Canon: In Sumaru City, rumors are becoming reality. One of these rumors concerns JOKER, a mysterious figure who'll kill whoever you want dead -- all you have to do is call him up by dialing your own phone number. Could he be behind the city's recent rash of grisly murders? Well, pretty much, yeah, but he's only a cog in a larger plot involving world destruction and strange fusions of Jungian psychology with Lovecraftian horrors and all sorts of crazy stuff.

Katsuya is a cop assigned to investigate the JOKER killings. He's also a Persona-user -- that is, he can summon aspects of his psyche that manifest as mythological beings in order to fight demons. He can also make "contracts" with demons to get them to give him stuff, which he does by interrogating them. Katsuya is very polite, and tends be strait-laced and by-the-book to an almost ridiculous degree, occasionally trying to apply the law to demons or call the police to deal with supernatural matters. He can also be surprisingly skeptical, despite all the strange things he's seen. Underneath it all, though, he's a nice guy who cares a lot about protecting people, especially his family.

I have multiple eyewitness accounts stating that around 6:03 PM this evening, you assaulted a young woman eating her dessert outside of the Mess Hall and stole her cake -- and that's terrible. This is a bit outside of my usual department, but I can hardly allow someone who has committed a violent crime to walk free. I'm going to have to ask you to come with me.

No, that wasn't some sort of... of proposition -- I am an officer of the law and I am placing you under arrest and taking you back to the station. Though I admit I'm not quite sure where it is. I haven't quite had time to get acquainted with this place yet, but I'm sure someone will know. Don't be ridiculous, there must be one here. Why else would they be hiring police officers? Unless it were some sort of trap, but who would bother to go to such lengths...? Anyway, no matter. The details can be sorted out later; the important thing now is that no more innocents are harmed.

I am certain there's no mistake; I interrogated all of the witnesses at the scene quite thoroughly. So thoroughly, in fact, that I believe one of the corpselike demons wanted to make a contract with me. She was getting quite friendly, perhaps even a bit too much so, and kept insisting that she had something to give me. I was warned that her affections were "a trap," however, so I decided not to risk it. At any rate, their stories all match up. I don't know what else you expected, attacking someone in broad daylight in a heavily populated area. -- Really, things like that are a common occurrence in this place? That's a sad state of affairs, if it's true. No wonder those in charge decided to hire some law enforcement.

As much as I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt, the evidence seems clear. Besides which, you're covered in frosting and cake crumbs. I don't see how those could be "a lie," either. It's clearly real cake. And no, "it was delicious cake and I had to eat it" is no excuse for your actions either.
